Transportation
By air
Amsterdam Schiphol airport is one of Europe’s biggest airports and offers passengers a high
standard of service. From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky can be
reached by car, taxi or public transport in less than 30 minutes.
Start your trip with a visit to the Schiphol website: www.schiphol.nl  Here you will find
up-to-date information about flights, booking a ticket and booking a rental car.

Public transport
The best way to reach the city centre from Schipol airport is by train, there is a railway station
located right under the airport terminal building. Direct trains to Amsterdam Central Station leave
approx. every 15 minutes from Schiphol Railway Station and the journey time is about 20 minutes.

From Amsterdam Central Station you can reach the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky either on foot
or by tram. On foot (10 minutes), you take the main exit from the station and walk across
the square in front of you. After crossing the Prins Hendrikkade (a main road) you will find
yourself on the Damrak - one of Amsterdam’s main streets. Walk along this street until you get
to Dam Square. You will see the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on your left.

The trams (5 minutes) leave from the square in front of the station. You can take the lines 4, 9,
16, 17, 20, 24 or 25 that stop at De Bijenkorf, a department store on Dam Square. Behind the
Monument on your left hand side you will see the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.

Language
The congress language will be English. No simultaneous translation will be available.
